QuickTime media player is an all-around must-have for anyone who wants to play media the way it was meant to be played. It is especially great for those who use Apple media files often. It was created for a predominately Apple market but is now available on Windows in order to allow for easier media sharing. This is great for those who do not want to use a Mac in their everyday life but like the media formatting.

QuickTime runs fairly intuitively for most users. The main buttons are large and clearly marked. Some more advanced users may find that when they look for relatively common features they are not readily available at first glance. The free version is great for those who wish to watch videos, listen to music, or make playlists. For those want flexibility and creative license to make changes to their media may find that QuickTime Pro is right for them. QuickTime Pro allows for converting files and editing. This is a great tool for those who want to be more hands-on with video especially.

QuickTime currently is available in eighteen different languages. This software obviously works for both Windows and Apple operating systems. There have been some complaints that it QuickTime does not run on Windows computers with operating systems older than Windows 7.

While QuickTime may not be native Windows software it is great for those who wish to watch media from Apple. If users do not use the MOV. format, they may not find this software to be the most helpful. When running on a PC, QuickTime can be slow. It is especially slow to start up. Once media is playing, there is no lag in the playback and the performance is excellent.
